Our Story
The art of making shoes has been our business since 1985. The idea was originally adopted by Mr. Sabsabi; A man with a passion for shoe manufacturing and innovation. As he pumped energy into the project, he was able to build a new factory from scratch, that is now known as ”Katkout”. Back then, shoes were produced manually using traditional equipment in this small factory. We first started with kids’ shoes, which were and are still unique. Our first kids’ collection was created in collaboration with Italian shoemakers. Besides all the challenges, and the fact that this factory had witnessed a very intense war, it never shut its doors. It actually started a campaign “Shoes for each child” to support children affected by the war. This Lebanese factory stood up, and still, to keep the Lebanese market alive despite all the crisis that this country is going through.
What makes us Special
There are plenty of shoe factories all around the world, but few in the Middle East and even fewer, perhaps none, in Lebanon (other than ours). We make shoes for both genders, adults and kids. We manufacture a variety of shapes and colors to satisfy all customers. Our business has been around for more than 38 years, and we are getting more and more experienced each day. Over the years, we have produced thousands of shoes and satisfied thousands of customers throughout Lebanon. Our products are unique, fashionable, light on the pocket and on your feet. In order to ensure the quality of our shoes, we put a great deal of effort into every shoe we produce. A key part of what makes our products special is the fact that they are locally produced, and we couldn’t be prouder.
Our goals, visions and Promises
Our main vision is to be a significant player in the shoe-making industry in the Middle East, perhaps the world. For Lebanon’s sake, we strive for perfection. It’s so important for us to show that Lebanese products are as good as any other. Despite being a challenge, we are committed to ensuring affordable yet high quality products and guaranteeing satisfaction for our customers.
